WASHINGTON, D.C.—American actor and comedian Chris Tucker was among prominent names attending this year’s 40th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., powered by the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc.
He said the conference provided invaluable learning and networking opportunities.
“I think it is great,” Tucker told Ib’s Blog in an interview.
“It’s so diverse and it was great being at the prayer breakfast this morning and this session [“The Faith Leaders Roundtable”] discussing about what’s going on in the churches.
“So it’s a great learning opportunity.”
There were lots of sessions, town hall meetings as well as an exhibit but Tucker found something he would cling on to for a long time.
Asked what he’s taking with him from the conference, Tucker said: “Knowledge. It’s been so informative out here and meeting great people like Congresswoman [Sheila Jackson] Lee is great. So I’m taking that.”
More on the reports/interviews/photos from the Annual Legislative Conference coming soon. Upcoming interviews include: Congressman Donald M. Payne (Chair, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Inc), Congressman Elijah E. Cummings (Honorary Co-Chair, 2010 Annual Legislative Conference), Congresswomen Sheila Jackson-Lee and Donna Edwards, and Maryland State Delegate Shirley Nathan-Pulliam. Please check again.
